Teen Counselling

Teen/ Adolescent Counselling

Teen counselling provides a teenager the space to explore their feelings and thoughts. They can be given the necessary support and guidance to overcome difficulties they may face and develop new ways of coping with their problems. Their self image and interpersonal skills can improve in the process.

Teen Depression

Teenage suicides has reached alarming levels world wide. Often times teenage depression is mistaken for rebelliousness or oppositional behaviour. Teens can feel increasingly alone in their struggles to deal with the issues they are confronted with.  If a teen mentions feeling depressed or has thoughts that life is not worth living and threatens to end their life it should always be taken seriously. Teens should receive the appropriate treatment for depression which is usually a combination of medication and psychotherapy.
